Divxplanet is shut down
Divxplanet.org or altyazi.org is shut down and the admins have officially announced it.
service.subtitles.divxplanet
will never work again, i suggest to remove this one from repo, may be in future i can write a service addon for.
turkcealtyazi.org
planetdp.org (this is supposed to be the continuation of divxplanet but it has a very weak content of subs.)
or all combination of them but right now opensubtitles are good enough for turkish subtitles.

No Subtitles Display
I have tried everywhere to find a solution to this but I can't. I have Kodi 16.1 and have tried using OpenSubtitles.org and SubScene.com and neither actually displays any subtitles. I can watch a movie and download the subtitles but they never appear. In my video settings all of my options are set following this:
Open Kodi
Select SYSTEM > Settings
Select Video
Select Subtitles
Select Preferred subtitle language
Choose your language
Select Languages to download subtitles for
Select your language again. You can also select others as a backup just in case subtitles aren't available. I use Swedish but I also choose English as a backup
Select OK when you have chosen the languages you want
Select Default TV show service
Select Get more...
Choose a subtitle service. I recommend OpenSubtitles
Select Default movie service
Select the Subtitle service you have installed
Now when you start watching content open the media controls and select the Subtitle Icon
Select Download
Choose your preferred subtitle choice

How to login to Opensubtitles on Kodi?
Hi,
When i was using 16.0 and was using Opensubtitles i kept getting an error message that i needed
to get an Opensubtitles account. So, i got an Opensubtitles account but then i uograded to 17.0 and now i do not see where on Kodi i can log into myOpensubtitles account. How do i log into my Opensubtitles account on Kodi?
Also, is it secure to login to an account you use elsewhere on Kodi? It was not a secure connection when i registered for Kodi forums.

[sublib] service.subtitles.subscene, multilingual subtitle addon
Hi
This is subtitle addon for subscene.com. Current one needs maintanence, so i though it would be much way easir to re-write the addon with sublib.
I have tested in kodi 16 on both windows & android, seems to be working pretty solid. Please do test in vairous KODI versions and platforms, and if you face any issues post your debug log, i can patch the stuff.
WARNING:
When you install this addon, it will automatically update the current subscene from the official repo, I have contacted CrowleyAJ the developer of the older addon, but seems like he is not logging in for a while, and can not find his github or something else, if he has issues for this addon to superseed his, please contact me, i can change the name, but it just doesnt make any sense to keep 2 addons for the same service.
TLDR:
If you want to keep your original subscene addon, dont install this one.

Subtitles OSD no longer showing filename after updating to Krypton
Since I upgraded from v16 to v17 I no longer see the filename in the subtitles OSD. I cannot find a setting to turn this back on, am I looking in the wrong place? I use the Amber skin.
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, I couldn't find an answer using the search.

Rorder subtitles services
Hi...
I use several subtitle sites to find the correct one. But I prefer to start with opensubtitles (most frecuently the right one). Is any way to reorder the subtitles sites to start using opensubtitles instead the first one?
Thank you! (and forget my broken english please!)

[OPENSUBTITLES] Error while searching or displaying wrong subs
Hi,
I have a Beelink MINI MXIII-II TV box. I used it for a couple of months and everything was working fine. Yesterday I upgraded Kodi from 16.1 to 17.1 and after that subtitles from opensubtitles stopped working. I had a message "Error searching for subtitles". Sometimes the search did work but the result was not as expected - subtitles for Game of thrones showed up but I was playing different movies. I thought it was an issue with Kodi so I downgraded it to 16.1, configured everything once again but I have the same issue with opensubtitles
Please help. I'm from Poland so my preferred subtitles language is set to Polish.

Open Subtitles suddenly stops working
Hi,
My Open Subtitles Addon has stopped working, and I can't seem to understand the reason. I've even uninstall and reinstalled the addon to no avail. Has someone experienced a similar problem?

[OS] API is working again
Hi guys,
OpenSubtitles API got problems in past few days, first it was not working (hard to reach), then it throws wrong movie results for query searches.
Now it should be fixed, so feel free to try.
Bear in mind we got in AVERAGE 900 Searches per SECOND (in peak times it is much more), so even slight less optimization results to bring the API to the knees.
Anyway it should be working now and sorry for troubles.

Unable to use any addons to download subtitles
Hi there !
Since a few days ago, I have been unable to use any addons from the official Kodi repository to download subtitles. Everytime I try to load a subtitle after a search on any addons, I receive the message "Failed to load the subtitle".
The problem appeared suddenly, and I can not figure out why or how it's happening since searching and downloading subtitles worked for me just a few days ago. I tried fixing the problem by moving the default location from next to the video (.strm) file, to another folder.
Here's the log: https://pastebin.com/rdZpv76C
14:32:01.401 is where the first failure to load the subtitle happens
Please tell me if there's anything else that could be of help, thanks !

Subtitle Offset
I download movies and TV shows to watch because my download speed is too slow to stream.
Often it turns out that the subtitles need to be offset by more than the +/- 60 seconds available in the interface.
Is there a tweak that I could do to go in and set it to +/- 2 or 5 minutes?
Usually, this happens if the person ripping the episode or movie skips over a long intro.

Still pretty new but finding my way around. Does anyone know a subtitle add-on or service that will provide subtitles instead of closed captions? Sick of starting and stopping a film trying to find subtitles. I just want to read what is in other languges
